Michael Eugene Parrott, of Covington, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 71. Mr. Parrott was a devoted husband, proud grandfather, and friend to many. A railroader for more than 20 years, he spent his life working hard and enjoying every adventure that came his way. He loved going on cruises, collecting stamps — often jokingly calling himself a “blind stamp collector” — and making memories with his beloved wife, Stephanie, and their grandchildren.

He never passed up an opportunity for fun, laughter, or a new adventure. Mr. Parrott also had a special love for his faithful dogs, Speedo, Zeus, Ellie, Bluey, and Miss Lucy, who brought him endless joy and companionship. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, sense of humor, and deep love for his people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Ella Parrott; and brothers, Gary Parrott and Gene Parrott.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Parrott; children, Chris Parrott, Marcus Pollard (Catrina), Andrew Pollard (Nicki), Bryant Pollard (Mary Gray), Savannah Pollard (Nate); grandchildren, Max, Lakynn, Sallie, Reagan, Will, Reed, Maggie, and baby Vera.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
