Mary Ida Peters Webb, age 92, passed away peacefully September 20, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love and faithful devotion. Her steadfast love of God, her family, and her church was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Ida found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, pouring into their lives through her love, encouragement, prayers and Godly example. Her influence reached far beyond words; she faithfully nurtured each generation with a gentle spirit, unwavering love, and a life devoted to Christ.

Ida also had a gift of creating beautiful things with her hands. She loved to sew and took great delight in making special things to give to others, using her creativity as another way to bring beauty, comfort, and joy into the lives of those around her.

She departed this earthly life peacefully, surrounded by four generations of family—those she had lovingly nurtured, encouraged and influenced throughout her remarkable life. Her faithfulness, love, and example will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Phillip Kenneth Webb, Sr., her parents Willie and Olive Peters, and her siblings, Billy Peters, Runae Daws, Donald Peters, Thelma Jo Doremus, Gerald Peters, Kenny Peters and Sandra Peters Byrd. She is survived by her children, Ken Webb (Grit), Kaye Jackson (Terry), Kelly Poole (Frank), and grandchildren, Kendra Tingle (Jay), Miriam Starr (Bart), Britt Jackson, Libby Ward (Gary), Bart Jackson (Lindi), Katie Miles (Kenny), Connor Poole, Kenneth Poole and 14 great-grandchildren; surviving siblings Jeanette Stapp (Donald), Patricia Knight, and Sammy Peters (Nancy).

Our mama, grandmother, sister and friend is already greatly missed. Until the Lord reunites us all in our heavenly home, we seek to live our lives by the example she set for us and that is to represent our Savior well.

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Webb will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 12:30 P.M. at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home (1215 Access Road, Covington), with interment following at Lawnwood Memorial Park (1111 Access Road, Covington). Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home an hour prior to the service from 11:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M.
