Mary Yvonne Hawkins

Mary Yvonne Hawkins, of Loganville, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at the age of 83. Mrs. Hawkins was a kind, caring, and intelligent woman who deeply loved her family. She especially cherished weekends spent with her beloved husband and time at their property by the lake and in the mountains. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren. A dedicated volunteer, she served as a senior reader at local elementary schools, sharing her love of stories with children. Mrs. Hawkins will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Christina Hawkins; sisters, Linda Savage, Ann Savage, Judy Savage Dorough, and Joni Delvers.

Survivors include her loving husband, JW Hawkins; son, William Howard Hawkins (Valerie); grandson, Cody Hawkins; granddaughter, Victoria Yvonne Hawkins; sisters, Elaine Adams, Martha Braun (Don), Nancy Phillips, Janie Downer (John), Rosemarie Savage, Melanie Savage (Chuck); brother, Billy Savage (Beverly); and close family, Vicky Weaver Hawkins Plunkett.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Hawkins will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, 10:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Thursday, June 26, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.
