Mark Crawford
Cole
June 28, 1961 – May 17, 2026
Mark Crawford Cole, of Covington, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the age of 64. Mr. Cole was a one-of-a-kind man who lived life loud, loving Rock n’ Roll, NASCAR, fishing, disc golf, and hunting down vinyl records at yard sales. He was happiest flipping through old records, casting a line, or making everyone around him laugh with one of his legendary pranks. April Fools’ Day was his favorite holiday, and he never missed a chance to keep people smiling.
Known lovingly as “Pops,” he adored his grandchildren, his “weasels” and was famous for “Pops’ Gifts,” the strangest and most unforgettable presents anyone could receive. Beneath his humor was a man with a huge heart. He loved his wife deeply, greeting her with a kiss every time she walked through the door and giving her glass-blown roses so they would never fade.
Mr. Cole took care of everyone around him and showed his love in the smallest, quietest ways. Honest, dependable, and always there when needed, he leaves behind countless memories, laughter, and love that will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Cole.
Survivors include his wife, Kathi Cole; daughters, Amanda Clutter (Robert); Jennifer Massey (Colby); grandchildren, Caitlyn, Hayden, Haley, Nora, Maddox; mother, Jan Clayton
Brother: Paul Carter.
A celebration of life for Mark will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
