Obituary

Marian Elizabeth Harden, of Madison, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026, at the age of 84. Mrs. Harden was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family dearly. She was a strong, hardworking woman who was never afraid to speak her mind and was known for being a very feisty lady. She worked faithfully for many years at Lithonia Lighting before retiring. She loved the holidays and especially enjoyed cooking and gathering with her family. She also enjoyed gardening and had a special love for flowers. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and spending time with her beloved dog, Princess. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, feisty personality, loving heart, and devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Curtis Lee Parker, Edward Lawrence Parker; siblings, Bobby, Ricky, Larry, Terrel, Thomas, Darrel, and Vickie.

Survivors include her friend, Joe Parker; sons, Alan Parker, Kenneth Parker; sister, Dorothy Jean Stewart; grandchildren, Allison, Adam, Amanda, Ashley, Amberly, Curtis Jr., Cecily, Elizabeth, Savannah, Taylor; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Harden will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Brownwood Baptist Church Cemetery, in Madison. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home one hour prior to her service. From 10:00 - 11:00 A.M.
