Libby Haymons of Covington, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the age of 57. In addition to being a devoted wife, she was also a loving and compassionate mother and grandmother. When she wasn't dancing and singing in the car to classic rock-and-roll, she was whippin' up her world-famous cornbread in the kitchen. Her positive outlook on life and contagious smile always brought joy to those around her. She was preceded in death by her father, Ollie Shadrix; mother-in-law, Willie Haymons.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Randy Haymons; daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Joseph Mobley, Mary Beth Baxter, Amanda and Brittain Hunt; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Nicki Haymons; mother, Betty Jane Shadrix; grandchildren, Harrison Haymons, Matilyn Belle Haymons, Trenton Colbert, Gabriel Mobley, Joseph Mobley, III, Mackenzie Mobley; as well as several brothers, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Libby will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Adam Cooper officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
