Leon Ardo Leonard, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the age of 103. Mr. Leonard found his greatest joy in teaching at dental school, where he dedicated himself to educating and mentoring future generations. A lifelong learner, he had a deep love for studying Scripture and was so committed to understanding God's Word that he learned Greek in order to read the New Testament in its original language. His passion for knowledge, faith, and teaching touched countless lives and leaves a lasting legacy of wisdom, devotion, and service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Leonard; and parents, Fred and Florence Leonard.

Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Maple, Virginia Dooley; son, Leon Leonard (Caralyn); 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Leonard will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, 10:00 A.M., at calvary Baptist Church, 4228 Mill Street NE, in Covington.
