Larry Wilson

Larry Wilson, of Jackson, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at the age of 80. Mr. Wilson was a kind and hardworking man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending peaceful mornings fishing, and he could often be found in the garage working on cars—a passion he carried throughout his life. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness. His warmth, dedication, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Martha Wilson; brothers, Willis Wilson, DJ Wilson, Cliff Wilson, Lewis Wilson, Chubby Wilson; sisters, Lucille Hartley, Ruby Faye White, mother, Ruth Wilson; grandmother, Maggie May Wilson, and great-grandson, Kaison Drewey.

Survivors include his daughter, Robin Bradley; sons, Sean Wilson, Steve Wilson; grandchildren, Bubba Wilson (Mallette), Justin Wilson (Brooke), Michael Wilson (Kendell), Nikki Holcombe (Aaron), Alisha Freeman (Andy), Dillon Wilson, Luke Wilson; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lewis Ray Brown, and John Hoyt Brown; sister, June Ann Fuller.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Wilson will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, 3:00 P.M., at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 190 Rocky Creek Road, in Mansfield, with Brother Randy Reece officiating and interment following in the church cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church, two hours prior to his service from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M.
