Joyce Ellen Juhnke

Joyce Ellen Juhnke, of Covington, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the age of 51. Mrs. Juhnke was a vibrant soul who brightened every room she entered. She loved her coffee and Coca-Cola, always ready for a shopping trip or a good conversation with friends — and she never met a stranger. Her love of hummingbirds, art, drawing, and crafts reflected her creative spirit, and she often spent time journaling or enjoying her favorite music and movies. A true fan of Steven Tyler, she brought joy, laughter, and warmth wherever she went. Mrs. Juhnke will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, DuWayne Juhnke; parents, Bobby and Janice Wright; and brother, Douglas Wright.

Survivors include her daughter, daughters, Lauren Gilleland (Palen) and Whitney Buford (James); grandchildren, Archer Casado, Isabella Buford, and one on the way; as well as her fur babies, Maple Butter, Oreo, Sir Issac Newton.

A Memorial for Mrs. Juhnke will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, 12:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to her service from 11:00 - 12:00 P.M.
