Joyce Ann Brewer Gawenda, of Covington, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Mrs. Brewer was a soft-hearted soul, a true social butterfly and a cat lover. She loved sipping on a Coke, listening to country music, catching up on the latest gossip over the phone, and never missed her soap operas. For over 30 years, she and Rudy proudly owned and operated Pine Valley Trailer Park, a place she deeply loved and took great pride in.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J M and Sadie Mobley; siblings, John Henry Mobley, Gerald Mobley, Penny Mobley, Steve Mobley.
She is survived by her children, Joi Kendrick, April Franklin, Larry “Fuz” Brewer, Jr., (Angie) Timothy “Pumpkin” Gawenda; many grandchildren, Lisa Mitchell, Erica Perry, Addison Brewer, Daylan Brewer, Parker Brewer, Rocky Brewer, Alyssa Brewer, Holly Franklin, Caden McCauley, Jaden Gawenda, Cheyenne Gawenda, Mykaylo Gawenda, Mason Gawenda, Grayson Gawenda; and great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Jimmy, Liz, Jean and Little Gerald, Lola, Tony, Felton, and Frankie. She will be remembered for her warm heart, lively spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Brewer will be held, Saturday, July 5, 4:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Ben Reynolds officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to her service from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M.
