Joseph Eugene Coburn

Joseph Eugene Coburn, a long-time Covington resident, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021, at the age of 61. Mr. Coburn was talented mechanically with cars and served as owner and operator of United Muffler & Brake for over 20 years. He was a strong Christian and loved the Lord. Mr. Coburn was a funny guy, great story teller, and a wonderful family man; he always thought of his family and kept in touch with them. He loved his daughter with all his heart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Coburn; mother, Dessie McGilton; and father, Gene Coburn.

Mr. Coburn is survived by his daughter, Josie Coburn; stepfather, Bill McGilton; sisters, Sonya Lane (Terry), Cheryl Mitchell, Debbie Smith, Shauna McGilton; brothers, Brian “Chad” McGilton (Angelina), Mark McGilton (Natasha), Craig McGilton (Traci), and Billy McGilton, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Coburn will be held at a later date.
