Joseph Wayne Bowling, born August 16, 1965, in Atlanta Ga., passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the age of 60. Joe was a man that loved life, his family, freedom and our country. He raised his four girls and often others children as well. A devoted hunter who loved the peacefulness of nature. On the weekends he loved to have friends and family to the pool for cookouts and socializing, he was truly the life of the party. He was a deep thinker, strongly opinionated, and loved to study prophecy and current events in the world. From 18 years of age he was an excellent painter and construction business owner who later in life worked for Peak Steel. He was loved by all, never silenced words and will be so missed. Until we meet again in Heaven, as you would always say, love you bye.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Oline Miller; step-sisters, Teresa Allen, Kathy Bowling; and step-brother, Larry Bowling.

Survivors include his daughters, Julie Hancock, Samantha Bowling, Gabby Bowling (Travis Griffin), Kenzie Bowling; step-son, Rocky Leist; grandchildren, Noah, Alec, Gibrel, PJ, AJ, Josiah, Journi, Annie Jo, Thomas, Savannah, Micah, Gracie, Kaylee, Madilyn, Bradley, Harleigh, Katie; sister, Laura Dickey (Greg); step-sisters, Pat Elliott, Rachel Bowling; as well as his niece and nephew, Amber and Zach.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Bowling will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026, 3:30 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to his service from 1:30 - 3:30 P.M.
