Johnny Jerome Kitchens

Johnny Jerome Kitchens, of Covington, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the age of 73. Mr. Kitchens was a family-oriented, protective man who loved his family dearly. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and painting. Mr. Kitchens was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and the University of Georgia football. He had a great sense of humor and was a great storyteller. In addition, he loved a good banana split, traveling to the mountains, and spending holidays with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harper and Ada Louise Kitchens; sister Brenda Jenkins, brothers, Gerald Kitchens, Jimmy Kitchens, and Ricky Kitchens.

Survivors include his loving wife, Cynthia Kitchens; daughters, Angela Kitchens, Christy Chopp; granddaughters, Haley Kitchens, Ryley Chopp; great-granddaughter, Moonee Elise Kitchen; sister, Anita Whitaker (Ronnie); brother, Robin Kitchens (Candy); sister-in-law, Linda Kitchens; brother-in-law, Marvin Jenkins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Kitchens will be held at a later date.
