John William Jackson, of Covington, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the age of 86. Mr. Jackson found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially visiting the mountains, tending to his garden, completing word searches, playing checkers, and watching classic westerns. Above all, he loved serving the Lord and lived his life guided by faith. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, his devotion to God, and the many cherished memories he leaves with those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Jackson, Jr.; parents, Albert and Ada Jackson; brothers, Robert, Albert, Neal; sisters, Mildred, Mary, Ruth, and Edna McCoy.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Jackson; children, Susan Jackson, James Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Michael Jackson, Johnathan Jackson (Carlee), Mark Jackson (Megan), Ricky Jackson; grandchildren, Jace Lee Jackson, Zoey Nichole Jackson; brothers, Henry Jackson and Jimmy Jackson.
