Jerry Lester Stowe

FLOYD STREET CHAPEL - VISITATION AND SERVICEJerry Lester Stowe, age 64, of Monticello died January 14, 2011, at Newton Medical Center in Covington.  He was the son of the late John Lester Stowe and Jack and Elise Shumate, and was self-employed as a small engine mechanic.  Mr. Stowe enjoyed history and current events and playing the guitar. Surviving are his wife, Linda Diane Stowe; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Mike Fuller of Covington, Ronda and Jon Gissendaner of Newborn, Lisa and Daniel Gissendaner of Social Circle; sons and daughter-in-law, David Stowe of Newborn, Darrell and Gail Stowe of Monticello; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann and Ronald Tyson of Covington; brothers and sister-in-law, John Larry Stowe, Jimmy Lee and Deborah Stowe, all of Locust Grove; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Stowe will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the Floyd Street Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with Rev. Daniel Gissendaner, officiating, at interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
