Jefferson Dial, of Covington, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the age of 87. Mr. Dial was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He shared 65 wonderful years of marriage and cherished the time he spent with his family. An avid golfer, he spent many happy days on the golf course and was especially proud of his seven holes-in-one. He also enjoyed basketball, playing during his high school years and while serving in the military. A devoted Georgia Tech fan, he proudly cheered on the Yellow Jackets. Above all, Mr. Dial loved his family and treasured every moment they shared together. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and wonderful memories that will be cherished for years to come.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheryl LaRee Dial; parents, Jefferson and Ruby Dial; brother, Larry Dial.

Survivors include his loving wife, Georgia Dial; sons, Wren Dial (Dana) , Stephen Dial (Karen); grandchildren, Ryan Dial (Keleigh), Anna Dial, Dustin Beam; sister, Marteal Manry; sister-in-law, Lorraine Snyder; as well as nieces and nephews, Duane Dial, Melaine Foster, Joy Stevens, and Jennifer Manry.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Dial will be held Sunday, September 6, 2026, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home one hour prior to his service, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to your favorite charity of choice.
