Jawanna Ann Pitts

d. May 25, 2024

Covington

Jawanna Ann Pitts (Jay), loving sister, aunt, and friend to many, passed away peacefully at her home in Covington, GA on May 25, 2024.

Jay was born in Atlanta on June 10, 1962 to the late Wilma and Clarence Pitts and spent her life being a loving member of her large family.

Jay was a joy to all who know her and had many interests. She loved Disney, NASCAR, take out food, the beach, and Bob Barker. She also loved cheesy Shark and Big Foot movies. Most of all though, Jay loved her lip gloss.

Besides her parents, Jawanna was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Pitts; brothers, Roger Pitts, Jimmy Pitts, and Shannon Pitts; and honorary brothers, Ricky Patterson and Rick Redd.

Jawanna is survived by her sister and hero, Wanda Pitts, sisters, Yvonne Redd, Roxanne Patterson, Teena Franks (Keith), Mitzi Burrous (Mark), Fonda Stowers (Bill), Debbie Farmer; brother, Johnny Pitts; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nephew.

Jay is finally with her beloved mother and father for which we are most grateful but only the Lord knows how much we will miss her.
