Jan Hall

Jan Hall, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at the age of 79. Mrs. Hall, a longtime resident of Newton County, was retired from the State of Georgia, where she worked as a computer analyst for many years. As a member of Christ Cornerstone Church in Covington, she was a familiar presence in the life of her church – from attending worship services to joyfully participating in various events and activities. Mrs. Hall’s hobbies mirrored her love of the outdoors and being active; she loved camping adventures and wagon rides with her mules. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Lossie Benjamin Hall, Jr.; parents, Dewey and Erma Mae (Kitchens) Sears; and brothers, Charles Sears, Ronnie Sears.

Left to remember Mrs. Hall with love and affection is her daughter, Susan Hall of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, David and Hollie Hall of Round Oak, GA; grandchildren, Lauren and Trevor Hindeman, Avery Hall and fiancée, Sara Parr, Clint Little, Jordyn Hall, Abigail Little; one great-grandchild on-the-way; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her loving church family.

A Graveside Service to honor the life of Mrs. Hall will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020, 10:00 A.M., at Porterdale Baptist Church Cemetery, Highway 81, in Porterdale, with Pastor Darrell Payne officiating.
