Ivan Bugera, of Conyers, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the age of 88. Mr. Bugera was born in Aleksandravka, Ukraine where he retired as a steam plant operator after 30 years. He immigrated to the United States in 2001 and was a member of the First Slavic Pentecostal Church, in Winder. Mr. Bugera got his driver’s license at the age of seventy, however, he did not drive until he moved to the United States. Mr. Bugera enjoyed beekeeping and reading his Bible, which he has read over 90 times. He will be remembered for his kindness that he shared. Mr. Bugera was preceded in death by his parents, Aleskandr and Haritena Bugera.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Yevdokiya Bugera; daughter, Tatyame Clements (David); son, Viktor Bugera (Viktoria); 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Vasily Bugera; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Bugera will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022, 2:30 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Vasily Shmililskia officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to his service, from 1:30 – 2:30 P.M.
