Irby Kennedy

Irby Kennedy, Covington, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at the age of 48. Mr. Kennedy, one of the smartest and strongest people you could ever meet, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work. A devoted husband of seven years and a proud father, his greatest joy was his family. He had a special talent for fixing anything and a love for fishing and older music. Known for his great sense of humor, kindness, and gentle spirit, Mr. Kennedy touched everyone he met with warmth and generosity. His children carry forward his legacy of strength, resilience, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and friend.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jessica Kennedy; children, Liam Kennedy, Gracie Kennedy, Lily Atkins; father, Irby Kennedy (Andrea); mother, Pam Kennedy; sister, Jessica Hamby (Kelly), Lisa Marie Kennedy; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Kennedy will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at Charlie Elliot Wildlife Preserve, 543 Elliot Trail, in Mansfield.
