We announce the peaceful passing of Gwen M. Wright, lovingly known as Aunt Gwen, on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born on February 24, 1936, Gwen was the beloved daughter of Benjamin Allen (Uncle Ben) and Francella Allen (Ms. Fan). She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wright; her parents; and her siblings, Michael Allen, Pearl Donaldson, Faye McKenzie, and Claude Allen. Left to cherish her memory her daughter, Diane, nieces and nephews — Wayne, Andrea, Fedrick, Michelle, Ian, Charmaine, Deon, Yvette, Lincoln, Steve (Stevie Face), Mickel, Michael, Mark, Maurice, Danny, Judith, Janet, Maxwell, and Sherine — along with grandnieces, grandnephews, and many other loving relatives and friends. 

Gwen was a woman of compassion, grace, and warmth. She found joy in caring for others, gardening, creating beautiful floral arrangements, and reading. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and anyone in need. Her kindness, generosity, and nurturing spirit touched countless lives and will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer with us, her love and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Wright will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home (1215 Access Road, Covington), with interment following at Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. 

Following the interment a repass will be held.
