Gregory Lynn Chapman, of Conyers, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 68. Mr. Chapman was a true car enthusiast whose passion for engines fueled much of his life. Whether working on cars or fixing them up, he loved every moment spent around horsepower and grease. He even enjoyed building and racing slot cars, a hobby that brought him great joy.

Mr. Chapman was a hands-on man who could fix anything and wasn’t intimidated by any challenge. Known for his strong will, generous spirit, and helpful nature, he was always ready to lend a hand to others.

A man of deep Christian faith, Mr. Chapman lived his life with kindness and giving at its heart and served as an Elder at Church Alive. He dearly loved his family. Outgoing and full of life, he will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and the love he shared with everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Chapman.

Survivors include his loving wife, Debra Chapman; children, Justin Chapman, Blake Chapman; brother, Albert Chapman; sister, Beth Brinson; mother, Clusta Chapman.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Bob and Pat Frazier officiating.
