Geraldine Mckinley

Geraldine McKinley, of Locust Grove, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, at the age of 90. Ms. McKinley held many occupations including retail sales manager and waitressing before carving out a career as a bookkeeper for over 20 years. She attended Central High School, in Muncie, Indiana. Born in Shelby County, Tennessee, Ms. McKinley moved to Muncie, Indiana when she was three, where she grew up and raised her family. After retirement, she moved to Georgia in 1997. Ms. McKinley was a wonderful wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother, caring great-grandmother, and supporting great-great-grandmother. She treasured her family and cherished her grandchildren dearly. Ms. McKinley was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melanie Gagliano; great-granddaughter, Rachael Gagliano; parents, Elbridge and Grace Walker; sister, Imogene Lance; and brother, James Walker.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Wall (Joe); sons, Jerry McKinley (Denise), Michael McKinley; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Elbridge Walker (Alice); and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Ms. Geraldine McKinley will be held Monday, January 9, 2023, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Milt Goggins officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, January 8, from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
