Frances Darlene Armistead, 65, passed away on July 24, 2026. She was born on August 12, 1960.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Dempsey Brooks and Marianne Maynard; husband, Terry Armistead, her daughter, Brandi Long; and her grandson, Zachary Dial.

She is lovingly remembered by her boyfriend, David Newman; sons, Charles Long and Chad Armistead; her brothers, Darryl Brooks and Buster Brooks; as well as her grandchildren and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Darlene found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and deeply loved her family. She will be remembered for the love she shared and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, Covington.
