Everine Stell, of Woodstock, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the age of 90. Mrs. Stell, a beloved woman of faith and family, passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy filled with music, love, and devotion. A longtime Sunday School teacher at Christ Center Tabernacle, she touched countless lives with her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication. She also lifted her voice in praise as a cherished member of the church choir and later attended Victory Tabernacle, where her faith continued to shine brightly. Before her years in ministry, Mrs. Stell lived an extraordinary musical life, singing alongside legends Hank Williams and Jerry Reed. She recorded two Gospel albums, sharing her heartfelt passion for worship through songs. Above all else, her greatest joy was her family. Her life was lovingly centered around being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be forever cherished. She also found comfort and peace in reading her Bible daily. Known for a few lighthearted pet peeves, she kept a watchful eye out for pinecones in the yard, mischievous squirrels on her birdfeeders, and firmly believed that once a bed was made — no one should lie on it (“if you know, you know”). Mrs. Stell’s life was a beautiful song — faithful, joyful, and full of love. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cherokee "Robert" Stell; great-granddaughter, Sally Jo Harrison; parents, Tally and Alma Watkins; brothers, Richard Watkins, and Wayne Watkins.
Survivors include her Sons, Robbie Stell (Christine), Ricky Stell (Debra); daughter, Pam Greiner (Matt); step-daughter, Jenell Montgomery (Robert); grandchildren, Ashley Green (Kevin), Rachel Harrison (Travis), Cole Vanthof (Nicole) , Savannah Johnson (Ryan), Caleb Greiner, Madison Terrell (Matthew); great-grandchildren, Anna Claire, Reed, Ansley, Addie, Stella, Jackson, Wyatt, Hayes, Samuel, Noah, Davis, Maggie; sister, Shirley White; brother, Tommy Watkins; as well as several Nieces, nephews and cousins.
