Eugene T. Simpson

Eugene T. Simpson, of Conyers, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 59. Eugene’s warmth, kindness, and love for people left a lasting impression on every life he touched. He had a special gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether he was sharing a story, lending a helping hand, or simply offering a smile, he brought people together with genuine connection and care.

Above all, Eugene cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Their laughter was his favorite melody, their joy his greatest reward. He lit up in their presence, and through his eyes, we saw what unconditional love truly looks like. The memories they built together — from quiet moments to grand adventures — will forever be treasured and carried forward with love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Finnie and Cora Fisher; and siblings Geraldine Simpson Gray, James Earl Simpson, Patricia Ann Simpson.

Though we feel the weight of this loss deeply, we celebrate a life well-lived and a heart that gave so fully. Eugene leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the simple but powerful gift of being present for those he cared about most.

Survivors include his daughter, Chanel Simpson; sons and daughters-in-law: Justin (Shay) Simpson and Isaiah (Amber) Simpson; grandchildren, Justin Simpson, Jr., Taniya Daley, Taliah Simpson, Isaiah Simpson, Jr., Nehemiah Simpson, Josiah Simpson, Aiden Simpson, Ronald McKinnie, Xavier McKinnie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members

May his spirit continue to guide and inspire us, and may we honor him by living with the same warmth, generosity, and love that he so effortlessly shared.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Simpson will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
