Elizabeth “Becky” Truitt, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Born in Salisbury, MD, on April 12, 1948, she married the love of her life, Gary Truitt, in March 1968.
Becky lived a life defined by faith and service. She possessed a remarkable ability to connect with others, never meeting a stranger and greeting everyone with her smile and a warm hug. Selfless and generous, she consistently sought ways to brighten someone’s day and had a special gift for making every occasion feel special. She found joy in gardening, long walks, and sharing life with those she loved. Above all, Becky cherished her family and adored her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Her life was a beautiful, living example of love and kindness. Becky leaves behind a legacy of generosity, devotion, and a servant’s heart that deeply touched all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed.
Becky was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Truitt; her parents, Floyd and Betty Trice; and her grandson, Dillon Neidigh.
She is survived by her loving family: sister, Pam Zorzi (Mike); brother, Fred Trice (Debbie); aunt, Eva Turner (Dick); son, John Truitt (Michelle); daughter, Amy Neidigh (Duane); and her cherished grandchildren, Luke Neidigh and Alyssa Neidigh. She is also survived by her brother- and sister-in-law, Jim and Pat Truitt, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, Covington, GA. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan. Burial will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
