Elisabeth M. Bennett “Anne”

Elisabeth M. Bennett, affectionately known as “Anne,” age 88, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026. She was born on August 27, 1938, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Anne is survived by her sons, Michael Scott Bennett (Charlotte) and Jeffrey Mitchell Bennett (Kelli); her special “adopted daughter,” Kim Bennett, whom she loved dearly; and her grandchildren, Allison, Michael, Jacob, and Logan, along with several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank C. and Elisabeth Mitchell, and her sisters, Francis Key and Linda Jacobsen.

Anne was a proud graduate of Dupont High School, Class of 1956. She went on to build a rewarding career in communications with Delta Air Lines, where she worked for more than 30 years before retiring. Her career gave her the opportunity to travel extensively, something she truly loved and enjoyed throughout her life.

Anne also had a natural talent for creating beautiful flower arrangements. After retirement, she turned her passion into a creative endeavor, holding shows twice a year where she proudly displayed and sold her arrangements. Her creativity, warmth, and generous spirit touched many people.

Anne will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her creativity, and the many lives she touched throughout her 88 years. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Services for Ms. Bennett will be held at a later date.
