Dennis Lee Hinton, 82, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. He was born on August 20, 1943.
Dennis was a loving man who cherished his family deeply. He took great pride in sharing his family’s heritage and stories with those he loved, making sure that the generations that followed would know where they came from and remember those who came before them.
A talented mechanic and a true lover of automobiles, Dennis enjoyed working on vintage cars and attending swap meets in search of the perfect car parts. He also loved visiting antique stores, hunting quail and pheasant, fishing, and spending time working on his farm. He took particular pleasure in tending his vegetable garden and working with his hands.
Dennis will be lovingly remembered by his children, Tiffanie DeHona Hinton Jordan and Dennis Lee Hinton, Jr.; his grandchildren, Leighanne Jordan, Zach Jordan, Lexie Jordan, Kyle Pugh, Cameron Hinton, Cason Hinton, and Carmen Hinton; and his great-grandchildren, Braylon and Conway.
He is also survived by Phyllis Crumbley (Tommy), Stella Page (Andy), and his brother, Randall Hinton (Connie), along with seven nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love, family, hard work, and treasured memories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his stories, his lessons about family heritage, and the love he gave so freely will live on through the generations.
A service to honor the life of Mr. Dennis Lee Hinton will be held Friday, August 14, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home (1215 Access Road, Covington).
