David Perez Verdejo, of Covington, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at the age of 54. Mr. Perez Verdejo will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father who loved his family dearly. He worked diligently day and night to provide for his family. He had a big personality, loved laughing and joking, and was energetic and outspoken.  Mr. Perez Verdejo loved getting to know people and having meaningful relationships. He was a great musician playing bass, guitar, drums and was also a producer. In his spare time, Mr. Perez Verdejo loved watching sports, especially baseball, and football and was a big fan of the Mets. In addition, he was very intelligent, liked to read and learn, and was big on history. Mr. Perez Verdejo was passionate about his culture and very confident about his beliefs – he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rebecca Perez; son, David Daniel Perez; mother, Amelia Verdejo; sisters, Rosa Ayala (Juan Tapia), Beatriz Dalmau (Raymon Mercado), Dilecy Dalmau Reyes (Fausto); as well as brothers, Adam Serrano, Bradley Verdejo.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Perez will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, 12:00 Noon, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Jim Watson officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to his service, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.

David Pérez Verdejo, de Covington, falleció viernes 24 de febrero de 2023 a la edad de 54 años. El señor Pérez Verdejo será recordado como un maravilloso esposo y padre que amaba a su familia. Trabajó duro día y noche para proveer a su familia. Tenía una personalidad grande, le encantaba a bromear y sonreír, y era enérgico y expresivo. El señor Pérez Verdejo amaba conocer a la gente y tener relaciones significativas. Era un gran músico que tocaba bajo, guitarra, batería y también era productor musical. En su tiempo libre, le encantaba ver deportes, especialmente béisbol y fútbol americano, y era un gran fanático de los Mets. Era muy inteligente, le gustaba leer y aprender, y era fanático de la historia. El señor Pérez Verdejo era apasionado por su cultura y muy seguro de su fe - aceptó a Jesucristo como su Señor y Salvador.

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a su esposa, Rebecca Pérez; hijo, David Daniel Pérez; madre, Amelia Verdejo; hermanas, Rosa Ayala (Juan Tapia), Beatriz Dalmau (Raymon Mercado), Dilecy Dalmau Reyes (Fausto); y hermanos, Adam Serrano, Bradley Verdejo.

Un servicio fúneral para el señor Pérez Verdejo se llevará a cabo el sábado 11 de marzo de 2023, a las 12:00 PM, en la funeraria de Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, en Covington, con el Pastor Jim Watson oficiando, el entierro en Lawnwood Memorial Park. Los amigos están invitados a visitar a la familia en la funeraria, dos horas antes de su servicio, de 10:00 a. m. - 12:00 PM.
