Clara Mae Rutledge

Clara Mae Rutledge, of Covington, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023, at the age of 89. Mrs. Rutledge loved the Lord and going to gospel singing. She enjoyed going shopping and doing crafts. Additionally, Mrs. Rutledge was a phenomenal cook and appreciated the simple beauty of flowers. She was a loving mother that cherished her family immensely. Mrs. Rutledge was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Hughes; sons, Keith Reynolds, Terry Birchfield; parents, John Franklin and Daisy Bell Campbell; and brother, Harvey Campbell.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Birchfield; grandchildren, Terry Presley, Shyla Presley; brothers and sister-in-law, Tommy Campbell, Wayne and Johnnie Campbell; sister-in-law, Becky Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Rutledge will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor David Wheeler officiating.
