Charles Thomas Mccord

Charles Thomas McCord, of Covington, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the age of 85. Mr. McCord was a member of Voice of Pentecost Church. He was a dedicated employee at General Motors Lakewood Assembly Plant and retired after 25 years of service. Mr. McCord will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Charlie and Edna Louise (Jackson) McCord; sister, Louise Thompson; brother, Thomas McCord.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sarah Ballard McCord; daughter, Anita Sexton; sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Kim McCord, Scott and Jamie Lynn McCord, Wade and Dana McCord; grandchildren, Meghan Olguin, Morgan Sexton, Cody McCord, Cole McCord, Evan McCord, Lane McCord, Makenzy McCord, Kaitlyn McCord; great-grandchildren, Logan McCord, Braden McCord; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and James Morrell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Private Graveside Service for Mr. McCord will be held at Lawnwood Memorial Park with Pastor Gavin Moon officiating. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family regrets that the services will be held privately.
