Charles Edward Buice, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 73. Mr. Buice was the proud owner and operator of his own business selling cars where he was known for his dedication, hard work and integrity. He was a man of strong values and great charisma, characteristics that he carried into both his personal and professional life. Mr. Buice shared a special bond with his son, Michael, working together at the car lot. He liked collecting old cars, working on cars, and attending car shows. Mr. Buice enjoyed gambling and loved the “ching chang” machines as he called them. He loved his family dearly and cherished the time spent with them. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Bonnie Susan Buice; parents, Suge Woodrow Buice and Ruby Carol Buice; and brother, Tommy Buice.
He is survived by his children, Charles Michael Buice, Carol Booth, Mary Ann Gomez and Susan Bailey; twelve grandchildren and also ten great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Buice; sisters, Sybel Arthur, Patricia Guy, along with several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Buice will be held Monday, November 25, 2024, 11:30 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Hillcrest Cemetery Memorial Association, 2250 Stanton Road, in East Point. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Saturday, November 23, from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M., and then again on Sunday, November 24, from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M.
