Charles Timothy Black

It is with great sympathy that we inform you Charles Timothy Black, 74 years-old of Conyers, GA passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He was born on November 17,1950 in Butler County, AL to Harry and Anne Black.

Charlie was a graduate of Georgianna High School, class of 1969. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted into the Army. Once he returned home, he continued his education, achieving his bachelor’s degree from Troy University while working full time. He dedicated nearly 30 years to a career at Georgia Pacific. After his retirement in 2005, he began Charles Black & Associates which he ran until his passing.

In 1973, Charlie married Jane Watson Black. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children, Amy, Adam and Caroline. Charlie will be remembered for his dedication to his family, work ethic, steadfast determination, and his love of golf.

Charles is survived by his beloved spouse of 52 years, Jane Watson Black: his siblings, Jimmy Black & wife Jackie, Joe Black, Sue Black Peavy & husband Tony Peavy and Leanne Black Lincoln. His Sister-in-law Lorraine Watson Boutwell & husband Don; Brother-in-law Richard Watson & wife Phyllis; His children, Amy Davis Durham & husband Jeff, Adam Black, Caroline Allen & husband Cliff. Grandchildren Chase Durham, Kate Trimaldi, Graham Allen, Layla Durham, Hayes Allen, and Parker Grace Black. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Harry & Anne McInvale Black, parents-in-law Girdon & Myrtis Watson, sister-in-law Cathy Black and grandson Alec Davis.

A memorial service will be held at Crosspoint Christian Church in Conyers on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Celebration of life to follow at Honey Creek Golf Club, Conyers, GA if you would like to join.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to No Longer Bound, Cumming, Ga or the American Heart Association in memory of Charles Black.
