Catherine McRay

Catherine McRay, of Covington, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at the age of 95. Born January 27, 1929, in Newton County, she was the widow of the late Samuel A. McRay and was the daughter of the late Anne Bell Womack and Frank Herring, of Newton County. Catherine lived in Newton County all her life where she was a member of Gaither’s Church. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and loved to do things for her family.

Survivors include her sons, Drew McRay (Sharon), Tony Herring.

A Private Graveside Service for Mrs. McRay will be held.
