Carol Laverne Richardson, of Oxford, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the age of 92. Mrs. Richardson was a loving, sweet, and respectful woman who cherished her family above all else. She enjoyed working in her yard and took great pride in her beautiful rose garden. She loved to travel, especially taking bus tours and cruises, and she also enjoyed shopping. She will be remembered as an awesome and caring woman whose kindness and love touched the lives of all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Dial; second husband, Joe Richardson; parents, Willie and Mildred Smith; sisters, Janet Lane, Norma Bond, and Myra Walden.

Survivors include her children, Vicki Haney (Kenneth), Carol Stowe (Sam), Mike Dial (Cindy); 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Richardson will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to her service from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
