Carol Key

Carol Key, of Covington, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the age of 80. Mrs. Key currently attended Eastridge Community Church and was a past member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She directed numerous Vacation Bible Schools, taught Children’s Sunday School, and led adult Precept Bible studies. Mrs. Key had a natural talent for sewing and creative crafts – making holidays, gifts, and family events personal. In addition, as a language of love, she shared her love for sewing making window treatments, clothes, and costumes. Mrs. Key will be remembered for always being able to offer a word of comfort and prayer and trusting in the Lord always. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Norris Key; son, Randy Key; granddaughter, Christy House Collins; mother, Opal Faye Reynolds; father, John Ashton Pitner; and sister, Harriette Key.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy House (Gary), Sandy Mobley (Gene); grandchildren, Kimberly Moore, Justin House, Julie House, David House, Nathan Mobley, Joshua Mobley, Jennifer Gilbreth; great-grandchildren, Addison Moore, Emerson Moore, Olivia Mobley, Jagger Mobley, Townes Mobley, Eli Gilbreth; sisters, Arline McClure (Rob), Marsha Boyd (Wayne), Sandy Jackson (Millard); brother, John Pitner; as well as numerous other extended family members.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Key will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Greg Key officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Tuesday, December 20, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
