Obituary

Mrs. Carol June Gibbs, age 76, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026 in Oxford, Georgia. She was born on February 27, 1950 to Arnold and Naomi White of Winston Salem, North Carolina. Carol lived a vibrant and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many. Carol graduated from Bob Jones University in 1974 with a Bachelor Degree in Commercial Art. Carol used her artistic talent at various churches over the years. She had a passion for serving the Lord in children’s ministry and as a woman of faith kept a personal prayer journal for many years. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and service. She was deeply devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them and especially with her precious grandchildren who were the light of her life. In her quiet moments, she found joy in reading, painting, calligraphy, knitting and crocheting – simple pleasures that reflected her warm and cheerful spirit. Carol was someone who was always willing to help anyone in need. Above all, she was an amazing wife to her husband, Skip, for over 52 years. She will be remembered as a fiercely strong and independent lady whose kindness and dedication touched countless lives. She will be remembered for her sweet nature, her joyful outlook and the love she gave so freely to others.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Naomi White; Andrea Seivers (sister), Stephen White (brother); Jeffrey Gibbs (brother-in-law), and Karen Gibbs (sister-in-law).
