Brenda Kay Moon, of Covington, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the age of 74. Mrs. Moon lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the simple joys she cherished most. She found peace at the beach and pure happiness during trips to Disney World. She loved getting lost in a good book and could often be found enjoying her favorite sports—baseball, football, and golf. Nothing meant more to her than time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories they will treasure forever. She was a devoted dog mom to her miniature dachshunds, Nike and Sassy, who brought her endless joy. Mrs. Moon also loved to shop and never missed a chance to visit craft shows and farmers markets. Her loving heart, warm smile, and deep devotion to family will always be remembered. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Moon; parents, J.C. and Myrtle House; sister, Shirley House; brother, Ronny House.
Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Bivins (Kevin), Dawn Autry (Greg); sons, Brian Moon (Brooke), Ryan Moon; grandchildren, Amber Holcombe (Michael), Andy Moon (Afton), Garrett Autry (Savannah), Griffin Autry (Madison), Logan Moon, Jake Blankenship, Coban Moon, Hollan Moon; great-grandchildren, Jaycee Moon, Karter Moon, Guy Hines, McKenzie Holcombe, Braxton Autry, Ellie Holcombe, Knox Moon, Ashby Autry; brother, Alan House; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Moon will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with inurnment following in Lawood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M.
