Brenda "Ellen" Bell Cannon, age 71, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, in Conyers, Georgia. Born on August 9, 1954, Ellen was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Ellen is lovingly remembered by her children: Shane Cannon; Jamie Cannon and his wife Marie; and Lauren Cason and her husband Bryan. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Ashley Price, Brooke Cannon, Austin Lindsey, Johnny Lindsey, Makenzie Hardin, Christian Lindsey, Michael Miller, and Landyn Cason—and her great-grandchildren, Conner Vandivner, Kyleigh Price, Hadlee Lindsey, Adalyn Jo Marie Lindsey, Avery Lindsey, and Jonathan Lindsey JR.
She was one of ten siblings and held deep bonds with each of them. Ellen is survived by her brothers, sisters and their spouses Roger (Ernestine) Bell, Harold Bell, Sara (Bill) Floyd, Carolyn (Roger) True, Margie Haralson, J.W. Bell, Charlotte Jarrell, and Ray (Linda) Bell. Ellen also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Michael “Mike” Cannon; her brother Ralph Bell; sisters-in-law Helen Bell, Gail Bell, and Louise Bell; and brothers-in-law Jim Haralson and Bill Jarrell.
Ellen loved reading the Bible and found strength in its words throughout her life. A talented crocheter, seamstress, and quilter, she created countless handmade treasures for those she loved. Above all else, Ellen treasured time spent with her family—whether gathered around a table or sharing quiet moments together.
A memorial service honoring Ellen’s life will be held on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Christ Cornerstone Church - 1020 Oak Hill Rd. Covington, GA 30016.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to Family Hospice Foundation, who helped us walk through the last month of her life.
