Betty Farrow, of Covington passed away peacefully in her hometown on December 22, 2023, at the age of 90. Born on March 11, 1933, to Hershel and Ruby Peters, Betty's life was a vivid tapestry of love, kindness, and spirited joy. Betty's legacy lives on through her beloved family. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, LC Farrow, for 66 remarkable years. Betty was predeceased by her husband, LC Farrow, her beloved son, Tommy Farrow, her parents, Hershel and Ruby Peters, her brother, Jimmy Peters, and sister, Faye Harris.
Her loving spirit is carried forward by her daughter, Karen Booth, her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Marlene Farrow, her treasured nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. A guiding light in her family, she was also a cherished aunt to several nieces and nephews.
A woman of many passions, Betty found solace in the tranquil beauty of gardens, tending to her plants with a green thumb that brought life to every corner. Crosswords and word finds were her delight, alongside the joys of mountain retreats and the whimsy of Disney World. Her faith was a cornerstone, steadfastly attending Mansfield Baptist Church for many years. Adventurous in spirit, Betty embraced the digital age, often found engrossed in video games or the feel-good stories of Hallmark Christmas movies. Her kind heart and spirited personality will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Betty's memory will forever bloom in the gardens she cultivated and the hearts she touched.
A Family Gathering for Mrs. Farrow will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., at the family home 432 Kellogg Street, Mansfield GA 30055. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601
