Bessie Christian Bell

Bessie Christian Bell of Conyers, passed away May 19, 2018, at the age of 72. She was a faithful member of Oxford Baptist Church. Mrs. Bell volunteered with The Women's Ministry with Stone Mountain Association and enjoyed participating in other mission work. After her employment with A&P Grocery, she started working at Snapping Shoals EMC where she retired after many years of service. Mrs. Bell loved to travel and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert Bell; infant baby girl, Jennifer Lynne Bell; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and John Marshall; sons and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Sharon Bell, Chris Bell; grandchildren, Jonathan Marshall, Dillan Marshall, Tamela Bell, Jordan Bell, Briana Berry, Matthew Bell; great-grandchild, Alyssa Marshall; sister-in-law, Margaret Bates; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Bell will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Oxford Baptist Church, 305 Emory Street, in Oxford, with Pastor Andy Brown officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Monday, May 21, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Oxford Baptist Church, P.O. Box 128, Oxford, GA 30054.
