Barbara Parker

Barbara Parker, of Social Circle, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at the age of 90. Mrs. Parker was a devout Christian and member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church for over 20 years. She was a prayer warrior and enjoyed talking to God. Mrs. Parker was employed as a secretary for 6 years at Tabernacle Christian School, in Atlanta. She loved spending time with her family and treasured making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother who will truly be missed. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband of 69 ½ years, Arnold “Butch” Parker, Sr.; parents, Bill and Isabell Moore; sisters, Frances Gresham, Virginia Morris; and brother, Buddy Moore.

She is survived by her daughters, Pat Sims (Larry), Kris Duck (Curtis); sons, Butch Parker, Jr., Steve Parker (Lorri); grandchildren, Kelli Waldrop, Trey Parker, Nikki Hays, Josh Duck, Parker Duck, Rebekah Gilliam, Gabrielle Copeland, Jesse Parker, Jedidiah Parker; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces.
