Tom Cushing Obituary

Tom Cushing of Locust Grove, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at the age of 88. Mr. Cushing retired from General Motors after 25 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, gardening and was a member of the Lakewood Masonic Lodge #443. In addition to being a strong family man, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Cushing; parents, Harry and Mary Cushing.

Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Joye Kelley Cushing; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Terry Edgar; sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Gwen Cushing, Gary and Susan Cushing, Tim and Joy Cushing, John and Dawn Cushing; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Acree; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231 or Alzheimer's Association 225 N. Michigan Ave. Chicago, IL 60601.
