Shulliah Stone Obituary

Shulliah Violet Stone of Covington, passed away January 4, 2018, at the age of 68. Shulliah was a faithful member of Eastridge Community Church. She and her husband, Johnny, loved to travel, were able to vacation all over the world together and especially enjoyed scuba diving. She was an avid photographer, and liked hunting and fishing with Johnny. Although Shulliah fought her cancer for nine years, she never complained and continued to remain active with Relay for Life despite being ill. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will forever be missed by her family and friends. Shulliah was preceded in death by her daughter, Shulliah Dean; parents, Ferris and Dorothy (Clevenger) Payne.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 42 years, Johnny Stone; sons and daughter-in-law, Allen and Margaret Russell, John W. Stone; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Judy Laboy; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Shulliah will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018, 11:30 AM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Georgia Memorial Park, in Marietta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, January 12, from 6 - 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memory of Shulliah, to the American Cancer Society - Newton County, 105 Westpark Drive, Suite C, Athens, GA 30606.
