Shellie H. Smith

Shellie H. Smith, of Conyers, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at the age of 88. Mr. Smith was a longtime member of Bethel Christian Church in Conyers and the founding member of Conyers Christian Church. As the proud owner and operator of Smith Gutter Works, he worked diligently to provide for his family. In his free time, Mr. Smith liked to tool around in his yard, and he enjoyed listening to singing and preaching, and watching wrestling on TV. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Christine Smith.

Mr. Smith will be remembered with love by his daughters and sons-in-law, Therese and Steve Owens, Danielle and Cody Cullen; grandchildren and their spouses, April and Joseph Durmire, Eric and Patsy Owens; great-grandchildren, Emma, Eliza, Addison; sisters, Betty Ruth Rutledge, Montez Franka; brother, Eugene Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service for Mr. Smith will be held with Joseph Durmire and Eric Owens officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Magnolia House Senior Living and Memory Care, 964 South Main Street, Conyers, GA 30012.
