Sandy Garrett Obituary

Sandy Garrett of Covington, passed away October 8, 2017, at 38 years of age. She was a 1996 graduate of Newton County High School and then went on to attend Dekalb Tech, where she received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. A member of Grace Baptist Church, Sandy enjoyed crocheting and photography, and was currently attending art classes. She will be remembered for the sweet smile she always had on her face. Sandy was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bud Sears; paternal grandparents, Rufus and Rosie Lee Garrett.

Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Joyce Garrett of Covington; grandparents, Winfred and June Powell of Oxford; sister and brother-in-law, Leslie Renee and Jody Aho of Minnesota; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, Covington. Interment will follow in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, in Conyers. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Wednesday, October 11, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
