Rachel M. Coody

Rachel M. Coody, age 33, of Covington, passed away May 3, 2018. Rachel appreciated the fellowship with other believers while attending West Street Community Church, Bible Baptist Church and High Point Baptist Church. She liked to cook and especially enjoyed experimenting with new recipes. A brave, loving and caring mother, Rachel cherished the time she spent with her son. Jareese and his "cool mom", as he affectionately referred to his mother, enjoyed watching movies and playing video games together. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Newton and Rachel Coody.

Survivors include her son, Jareese Driskell; parents, Vickie and Goodwin Cook; sister, Destiny Coody; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services to celebrate Rachel's life will be held Sunday, May 6, 2018, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Mencer Reed and Rev. Greg Butler officiating. Friends are invited to visit with Rachel's family Sunday, two hours prior to her service, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.
