Miles Cope

Miles Cope of Oxford, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at the age of 76. Mr. Cope was a member of Woodlake Baptist Church in Walnut Grove. He retired after 30 years of dedicated service with AT&T. Mr. Cope enjoyed woodworking and stone engraving as well as many other hobbies. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. Mr. Cope was preceded in death by his parents, Miles and Cleo Cope.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Shelby Roberts Cope; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Matt Chastain; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Christy Cope; grandchildren, Copelyn, Emily, Rex, Mitchell, and granddaughter on the way, Ali; sister, Louise Pugh; brother and sister-in-law, Loyd and Ann Cope; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Cope will be held Monday, December 31, 2018, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Jerry Grey officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Monday, two hours prior to his service from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Woodlake Baptist Church - Building Fund, 3940 Highway 138, Covington, GA 30014.
