McKenzi Dawn Middlebrooks

McKenzi Dawn Middlebrooks of Loganville, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at the age of 19. The essence of McKenzi was her selfless nature, a heart that was pure and her inclination to always put others first. She had a strong resolve and an unwavering faith in God that enabled her to push through the most difficult times. McKenzi's tenacious spirit was also evident as she advocated for the underdog, which in turn, made the world a better place. She was a "girly-girl" who loved makeup and clothes, yet she was just as happy to be outdoors, hunting and fishing. McKenzi had a smile that lit up the room and a way of making those around her feel special. She loved her family, friends and her beloved dog, Beau. McKenzi was preceded in death by her maternal grandfathers, Russell Franklin Trent, Jr., and Charles Edward Boyd, II.

Survivors include her parents, Michael and Janice Middlebrooks; brothers, Christopher Michael Middlebrooks, Pierce Tyler Middlebrooks; sisters, Peyton Lindsey Middlebrooks, Katie Anne Middlebrooks; grandparents, Ronald and Belva Woodell, Linda Trent-Boyd; as well as aunts and uncles, Melissa Trent, Tony Dodd, Melody Sanders, Derek Boyd, Michael and Renee Boyd, Stephanie Cody, Denise Middlebrooks, Rodney and Ronda Middlebrooks, Stephen and Angela Middlebrooks, Leslie House.


A Funeral Service for McKenzi will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 2:00 P.M., at Stewart Community Church, 13645 Highway 36, Covington, with Pastor John Pearrell and Pastor Jason Johnson officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Monday, November 26, from 5 - 8 P.M.
